Though it's very difficult to have this quality in oneself but with regular practice one can make it a central quality of one's character.   It is a practical determination to decrease the suffering of others by controlling our waves of emotions in different circumstances like :

• When a discussion starts converting into an argument.
• When somebody is upset or in grief. etc.

Patience grooms your personality as a person with patience takes right decision at the right time, speaks right thing at the right time. When a person has this quality it makes him/her a complete person as the person with this quality can understand the emotions of others by listening him/her completely and this way he/she can put his/her feet in that person's shoes.

This quality in our character makes us selfless, helpful, honest and a true living creature. It helps us to be with GOD. Patience is one of the best quality which is given to us by GOD. The people who have patience GOD give them a strength to bear the misfortunes of life. GOD does not need His own gifts HE only wants that people should have the courage to beat the misfortunes of life patiently.

One of the poets of English literature "JOHN MILTON" has given the same views in his sonnet "ON HIS BLINDNESS" -- When the poet was feeling deep sorrow that he was not able to use his poetic gift in the service of GOD then his patience has spoken in this sonnet because the patience is personified. Patience has said that GOD doesn't need man's work HE only wants that they should gladly bear the misfortunes of life. To surrender oneself to the will of GOD is the best service to HIM.

Patience helps us to decrease our anger. A man in anger is harmful for everyone. In anger we generally lost our self control and most of the time we do the things that we will regret later. In this condition patience is the best remedy to control the anger.

While writing this blog just remembered a P.P.T. I read some years back. which talked about the theory of 10-1 which means that out of 10 circumstances we can't control but we one thing that we can control is how we react to those circumstances.

The example there was : A nice morning when a man woke up and got ready for his office and when he came to have his breakfast just that time a glass full of milk has fallen from his son's hand. Seeing this he shouted on his kid who then left his breakfast and start weeping which ruined the mood of whole family and the man went to the office with that mood only and for the whole day his and his family's mood was upset and when he came back to home the family didn't talk much and the whole day went like that only.

Now, just with the circumstance happened that morning we analyze that situation doesn't have any control. If the man would have had acted patiently and would not have had shouted on his son then none of his family member would be in that mood and his whole day wouldn't be that bad.

Though, it's a very small situation which happens in our day to day life but it affects our whole day and sometimes our whole life.

Is old age home a curse or boon to the society? As every coin has two faces and so is the old age home. This depends how we look towards them as the beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

It is a curse when the children send their parents in the old age home instead of serving them and taking care of them and that too when the parents spent all their lives in their children welfare.

If we talk to any parent he will surely say the following:

A) The day you see us old please be patient and try to understand us.
B) If we forget something don’t get annoyed and try to remember the days you were kids.
C) Try to be our support when we are not able to walk and remember your first step you have taken with our support.
D) When we will get ill and feeble and you need to spend money on us just think for the days we spent all of our saving in fulfilling your desires by scarifying our own.

But, children leaves their parents in old age home just to enjoy their lives with there family or just because they don't want to spent their earning to their old parents though they always forget that if you have your elders with you it not only gives an immense pleasure but also gives you a roof under which you will feel relaxed and safe as they were throughout there life but children thinks their parents to be a hurdle in their lives.

A movie was released some times back named "Lago Raho Munna Bhai" there it showed an old age home named "second innings" and I really liked the concept of second innings – the innings (remaining number of years) after the completion of all the responsibilities and every one wants that after completing his/her responsibilities and one should be rewarded and shouldn’t be ignored. This is the way which makes the old age homes a curse for our society.

But, as I said every coin has two faces and hence, it applies to old age homes as well. Old age homes can be a place of the old people having no-body behind to take care of them. It can be a recreation place for old people to enjoy their rest of the life, to have friends with whom they can share their thoughts, their problems, their perspectives, a place which can give them a feel of satisfaction that they are still human beings and people do care for them and the best part is that it can be a place which can fulfill their desires that they killed due to the responsibilities they needed to endure. Old age homes shouldn’t be only for the old people who need to stay there it should be for all the old age people so that they can come and meet other people of their age and can share and can help each other if possible and this can give a felling of some extra support to them and this way it can be a boon to the society and this way it can be a boon to the society.

Hobby

Some days back I was sitting alone in my room and don’t know from where things started coming into my mind about last 2.5yrs of mine when I started my carrier and I found that from last about 9 - 10 months I am actually doing nothing except for thinking about my future when I will buy car, home, when will I get promotion etc. etc. as we all generally think and nothing wrong in thinking this. Then I realized that what  I am doing nothing for myself and I am so busy in these things that I don’t have time for myself. Suddenly a question stroked in my mind “what’s my hobby?” And to my utter surprise I really don’t know now what I really like to do now? As in my childhood I love to play video games then migrated rather upgraded myself to computer games though I love them today as well. Then I started loving programming and hence I am a software engineer now.

Even after thinking this stuff I felt energetic and felt that I should do something for myself and I started creating a small tool which makes the simple BL (Business Layer), DAL (Data Access Layer) and basic add, update and delete stored procedures from the database you provide to it.

So, this way I get myself back and thought why not to share my experience with all of you my friends as it helped me it might help you in getting yourself happy.

Hobby simply a five character word but when you actually think about it seriously you will find that either what you are thinking is your hobby it’s not or if it’s actually is then you are loosing it in your busy life.
Hobby is something that makes you feel good, after doing which you will feel happy, proud and relaxed. It gives you more power with which you can face so many of your life’s difficulties and the best part is that this power is already there inside you the only thing your hobby can do is give you that time in which you can actually collect it before start fighting you hard situations.

Hobby can be anything from collecting stamps and coins to driving fighter planes but what actually matters is that how much faithful you are with your hobby. How dedicatedly you improve it so, for example if my hobby is collecting coins than if I am dedicated towards my hobby I will have the coins from ancient times to present and I will try to collect other countries coins as well and hence will improve myself.
For me the best way to find what you like is to sit alone and think about all the things and the thing that you like the most is your hobby for me I found that I love three things to do:
1) Computer Programming
2) Playing computer games
3) Photography (which I actually never dedicatedly followed)

This will not be a complete this blog until we all complete it. Complete the blog by giving your ways of finding one’s hobbies as this can make someone happy.
